Sunday near by 15th January, there were two events at Sanjisangen-do temple.
The one is ‘Tooshi ya’. Tooshi ya is the tournament match of Japanese archery. Many young archery players aged 20 years old come to this temple, played their archery skills. Why such an event should be held there? Because this temple is too wide, the garden in front of the temple is good for the archery. I think young archery players should be proud to do it there. In this season there is’Seijinshiki’ ceremony in Japan. Seijinshiki is the ceremony to celebrate becoming an adult. This tooshi ya ceremony should be the Seijinshiki for these 20 years old young archery players.
Next event was “Yanagi no Okaji”. This is the ceremony to pray for the health. Especially for stopping the head ache. My wife has head ache trouble, so this day my family came to the praying event. I don’t know the pray could stop her head ache perfect. But anyway praying is not bad.
