Nanzen-ji temple is around Keage, center of Higashiyama area. This temple is famous for autumn red maple leaves and big gate. Historic gangster Goemon Ishikawa told it was so fantastic view from this gate. You can go up to upstairs of this gate.
Around this temple there are some good restaurant of Yudoufu (tofu in hot water). Yudoufu is so healthy and tasty, one of the best menu of Kyoto. Please try Yudoufu if you have a chance!
