Koutou-in temple is a one of sub temple in Daitoku-ji. All sub temples are so unique, but I think this Koutou-in temple is the best beautiful temple in Daitoku-ji. When you go through the first gate, you can see the approach way of bamboos. So beautiful it is. The garden is so simple. One stone Lantern at the center of the moss field. Simple. So simple. But too beautiful. You could sit on the edge of the house one hour or more. If you want you can drink good Japanese tea there. It should be a memorial experience for you. I heard Stive Jobs loved this garden best in Kyoto.
