A famous poemmer Isamu Yoshii lived around Gion area, made poems about this area. He loved Gion, and Gion people loved Mr.Yoshii. So Gion people made a stone monument for him, the day they made it was 8th November.
Every the 8th Nov, Geiko girls and Maiko girls pay floral tribute in front of this monument. This is the Kanikakuni-sai ceremony.
After this ceremony Geiko girls and Maiko girls service tea for the guests. You can drink a tea here if you want and pay.
