KamoAoi (Wagashi)

Wagashi-kamoaoi

I took this Wagashi ‘KamoAoi’. This Wagashi sweets were made with mainly azuki-beans, agar, thick malt syrup and sugar. The shape means a holy Futaba Aoi leaves which is used for Holy Aoi matsuri festival in Kyoto. It taste quite fine, melt on my tongue.

You can buy it at Hosendo wagashi shop little bit north from Shimogamo jinja shrine. This shop has a cafe space, the inside of cafe space is so Japanese traditional style. I like there much.
