Snow!
In this morning it was snow falling in Kyoto. This winter is warm, no snow until today. We have 4 or days in each winter in usual but there was no snow day. Kyoto has many scene in each season. Spring beautiful cherry blossoms. Summer blue sky and good shape white cloud. Autumn vivid red maple leaves. Winter old architectures covered with snow. Especially Golden pavilion with snow is awesome.
Of course we can know when it might be snow just before few days before the snow day. If you make a plan to visit to Kyoto, you have to make a reservations for hotels and transportations. If you know it’s snow today in its morning in Tokyo, you should ride on a Shinkansen train for watching the Golden pavilion with snow. Then you will take 2.5 hours for ride, and take a taxi from Kyoto station and 30 minutes later you would be in front of it. but you already took 3 hours, if you ride on the train on 7:00 am, it might be there on 10:00, there will be a possibility snow have gone away…
Anyway if you could watch Golden pavilion winter in Kyoto is the best season for you to visit. But this year you and we never have such a lucky chance. Today’s snow is not enough for covering old architectures. And weather news told that today and tonight is the peak of the coldness. I think we couldn’t have chances to watch such a beautiful view…
